Local Restrictions Support Grants are available to businesses which have been required to close for 2 weeks or more, due to local and/or national restrictions imposed by the Government.

This grant is available to businesses in Pendle which have been forced to close as a result of the following events:

(A) When Pendle was placed in Tier 3 (Very High) restrictions on Saturday 17th October 2020, and

(B) When England went in to lockdown nationally on the 5th November 2020.

If your business has had to close as a result of either of the above then you may be eligible for a grant.

Here’s the link to Pendle Borough Council to APPLY

More information follows for each event.

(A) Businesses forced to close when Pendle was placed in Tier 3 (Very High) restrictions on Saturday 17th October 2020

Financial support is available to businesses forced to close from 19 October 2020. However, different rules apply to pubs and bars and licensed clubs who were forced to close two days earlier, from 17 October 2020.

The Tier 3 LRSG supports local businesses which were open as usual, providing services in person to customers from their business premises, but which were then forced to close for at least 2 weeks due to local lockdown restrictions imposed by government.

To qualify for this grant, your business must be in the Pendle Council area and have been:

  • open as usual before the restrictions.
  • providing services in person to customers from the premises.
  • required to close due to local lockdown restrictions imposed by government.
  • paying business rates for the premises as at 16 October 2020

And be one of the following types of business:

  • pubs and bars that do not serve a substantial meal
  • casinos
  • bingo halls
  • betting shops and adult gaming centres
  • soft play centres and areas
  • car boot sales

If your business does not fall into one of the categories specified above you are not eligible for a grant during the period that Pendle was placed in Tier 3 restrictions.
This grant scheme ended when the national lockdown was implemented in England covering the period from 5th November to the 2nd December 2020.
Please see details below for grants available if your business has been forced to close due to the national lockdown in England.
