Colne BID followed up on Colne Town Council’s successful Christmas in Colne and Light Switch On event by laying on a range of family entertainment to mark Small Business Saturday and Christmas in Colne. Adults and children alike were treated to a magical festive experience whilst Christmas shopping in Colne with the arrival of Roger the real Reindeer, Father Christmas and special guests.
Rudolf was the star attraction as he was petted and hugged as well as fed custard cream biscuits (his favourite treat!) and Santa was on hand to chat to all the children and make sure they are all being good girls and boys before the big day. Santa even facetimed 2 children, via their mum’s phone. The look of surprise on their faces was delight.
Bubbles the Elf, Nutracker Soldier and Elsa from Frozen also brought some festive cheer to shoppers, children and businesses throughout the day – meeting and greeting people with cheeky antics and lots of hugs.
’The day was rounded off with the fabulous Barrowford Community Choir singing their hearts out in Tubbs of Colne – with a selection of festive classics and a very merry Christmas Saturday was had by all.
