With 3 vacancies available on the Board, Colne BID have been successful in filling these positions over the past 3 weeks. Norma Tinsley of Santander Bank, Colne was voted in at the 2nd AGM hosted on 23rd February 2021. Beverly Owen of TK Maxx, Colne and Azhar Iqbal of Colne Tyre Centre were both voted in on 9th March 2021 at the BID Board meeting unanimously. Here is what they had to say:
Beverly: “As a business manager on North Valley Road I am committed to maintaining strong links with the BID, to provide a safer shopping experience for customers for customers and a safer work environment for my team. It is important for me to ensure the businesses on North Valley Road have a voice, and to understand how all agencies can work together to achieve the BID’s objectives.”
Azhar: ”It is a great honour to be appointed as a Colne BID Board Director having helped and supported the BID at the steering stages. As a local business with strong links to the local business community, I look forward to working even more closely with the board to continue to work in developing Colne Town’s vibrant and varied offering”
Norma: “I am the Santander Bank Manager and as the only bank in Town I am so pleased to be on the board and really looking forward to helping local businesses and Colne town flourish. The Bank are really focused on helping the community and with this in mind so excited to have this role on the board to help move this amazing town forward.”
