The Grand Victorian Building Hiding A Big Surprise

Posted By Lewis Frobisher

If you’ve ever walked up Albert Road in Colne, chances are you’ve ventured past a grand Victorian building which hides a glamorous surprise behind its doors.

For at 61 Albert Road lies BeautiPhi Medispa – a luxury one-stop destination for medical aesthetics, specialist orthodontics and everything in between.

Manager and treatment co-ordinator Ammarah said: “We’ve been in Colne since November 2019 – and I’m sure we all know what happened a few months later! But despite all that, we’re growing day by day. The vision is to offer treatments locally that you’d typically find in the big cities – except we’re encouraging clients to come the other way down the M65 to Colne instead!”

BeautiPhi was the brainchild of Ammarah and Dr Zia Ud-din, a registered specialist orthodontist who runs the Smyli Orthodontics clinic. Ammarah and Dr Ud-din both grew up in Colne and love the buzz about town. When the building became available, it was the perfect opportunity to bring something new to town.

The team also includes Dr Chris Sweet, who runs the Smyli Facial Aesthetics clinic, whilst aestheticians Sarah and Stefanie deliver skin, laser, bodysculpting, massage and beauty therapies. The business is currently on the look out for a hairdresser, with a beautiful in-house salon ready and waiting for a tenant.

“We pride ourselves on being experienced practitioners working with only the biggest and best brand names in the industry, so that our patients can receive an unparalleled level of service.

“People are genuinely shocked when they walk in off the main road – and that was always part of the plan! We wanted to be a unique beauty destination where people could step inside, forget their troubles for a while, and indulge in luxury services in the safety of clinical settings. Everyone who comes in marvels at the stunning marble floors and grand architectural detail that has been restored,” Ammarah continued.

Small town, big brands

The BeautiPhi team aren’t afraid to take on the big cities. Their mix of loyal and new customers often walk through the doors because of the well-known treatment brands on offer.

The Pendle business is the only authorised retailer of Skinceuticals and Mesoestetic medical grade products, peels and treatments, while its official HydraFacial treatment is highly sought after. They also recently launched Cosmelan and Global Eyecon which until the clinic secured them, were previously unavailable in East Lancashire.

Aside from big brands, what else can the clinic offer?

Ammarah explained: “We absolutely love meeting new patients, going above and beyond to take care of them, and we often recommend a bespoke approach to every treatment or aesthetic concern. We don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach or recommend the latest trend to everyone. We also love to reward those who support us and keep us in business and our huge range of treatment packages and loyalty schemes keep them coming back for more. There is nothing more rewarding than boosting someone’s confidence or helping them to smile, and becoming friends with everyone in the process!”
